Mental Health Awareness Week 2022: Loneliness and the power of connectedness

The theme of this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week taking place between 9-15th May explores the experience of loneliness, its impact on our mental health and how we can help to reduce loneliness in our communities.

Research shows us that loneliness can have a serious impact on our mental health, wellbeing, productivity and self-esteem.

We know that loneliness levels during the pandemic increased at a devastating rate, having a significant influence on levels of distress due to people’s sense of isolation and reduced connection.

This 60-minute webinar will:

  • Examine why connection is so important to human beings.
  • Explore the effects of loneliness on our wellbeing.
  • Offer psychological tools to help manage feelings of loneliness.
  • Discuss ideas for staying connected to others.
  • Strengthen our skills in self-care and self-compassion.

The Details:

  • Capacity: 500 people.
  • Length: 60 minutes.
  • Facilitator: A clinical psychologist.
  • Logistics: You’ll be sent an exclusive link to the webinar, which will be streamed via Zoom.

If this sounds like what you need, we would love to hear from you.
